Exercise #4 Objects as Photographs

The Object Lesson (Equivalents): Choose a natural object, which have interesting forms, which stimulate your imagination and which have the potential for undergoing transformation through photography. The objects should be, essentially, in their natural forms. Place the objects in found environments in order to effect transformations. The environment, camera-angle, camera-subject distance, lighting (Preferable available light), exposure, and editing (development) adjustments should produce photographs which so delight the eye and stimulate the subconscious (but not the rational) mind that the objects becomes more beautiful or more terrible than when conventionally photographed in their normal contexts. Vegetables may become sentiment, fossils become animated, and seashells become warm flesh, etc. Rapport should be established between the form of the object and the chosen environment. 


 The following minimum requirements are due as follows: 

10 different images that best illustrate the above description along with contact sheets. The 10 images need to be submitted as jpegs and upload to the PHO 397 Google Drive Folder along with the contact sheets.

Group A Nov 2nd by 5:00pm
Group B Nov 4th by 5:00pm
